Market House Museum- Dollar Days Donation

The Market House Museum opens for the 2015 season with two new exhibits.

The first exhibit is The Sells-Floto Circus, which visited Paducah in October 1929, for one its very last performances before the Great Depression settled over America, and the circus was forced into bankruptcy, to be bought out by the Ringling Brothers Barnum Bailey Circus.

Original panoramic photos of the entire circus troupe are on display, along with photos of the elephants that helped erect the Big Top when the circus arrived in town!

The second exhibit depicts Noble Park Funland, along with the layout of the park, and many photos of the rides and information relating to the beloved entity so many adults remember fondly today. Do you know where the rides went after the auction in the 1980s? Here's your opportunity to find out!

Watch the video and experience the thrill of riding the Wild Mouse as well as the miniature train we all so vividly remember.

ALSO plan to see other new exhibits on display, and the new VICE PRESIDENT ALBEN BARKLEY MEMORIAL ROOM.

Paducah Life author, JT Crawford will be on hand to autograph his DVD on Funland, which will be sold in the gift shop until supplies run out, 11-2 on Grand Opening Day.

FREE balloons and animal crackers will be given to patrons on this Saturday as long as supplies last, and a door prize will be given away in the Museum's gift shop at 2 pm.
